Sumo CVT Fluid Exclusive Oil for Metal-belt CVT-mounted Cars. Different from AT, CVT uses a metal belt and pulley instead of a fluid torque converter for transmission. This gives CVT excellent transmission rate and improved fuel consumption compared with AT. For that reason, many car manufacturers are increasing their usage of CVT. Sumo CVT Fluid is an oil exclusively for metal-belt CVT-mounted cars. The high performance base oil of Sumo CVT Fluid is blended in good balance with carefully selected additives such as friction modifiers, cleaning-dispersing agents, anti-oxidizing agents, viscosity index improvers, corrosion inhibitors and anti-foaming agents.

  • With Sumo CVT Fluid, resulting abrasions at metal belt-pulley contact points are avoided owing to the well distributing of its additives, including metal cleaning agents, ash-less dispersing agents, extreme pressure agents and frictional modifiers.
  • Exclusive CVT oils are required to be capable of maintaining inter-metallic torque transmission capacity and to have shudder (vibration, noise) proofing property.
  • Sumo CVT has the basic properties of a transmission fluid, such as the cold flow property, oxidation stability, abrasion resistance, shear stability, material compatibility and anti-foaming property, made possible by the use of high-performance base oil and carefully selected additives blended in a balanced ration.
